HILAYAH is a design project that reinterprets Palestinian cultural heritage through a contemporary fashion lens. Rooted in the historical use of olive wood and mother of pearl in traditional Palestinian adornment—including facial ornaments, headdresses, and hair accessories —the project transforms these culturally significant materials into refined, handcrafted fashion Pieces. 

Drawing on traditional craftsmanship while embracing the principles of slow fashion, HILAYAH celebrates local materials, artisanal techniques, and mindful production. The collection features bags, accessories, and a garment embellished with olive wood and mother-of- pearl elements, reimagining heritage through modern silhouettes and intricate handwork. Each piece serves as a dialogue between past and present, preserving the cultural memory embedded inPalestinian craft while presenting it in a timeless, contemporary aesthetic.
