OLIVE WOOD CARVING
The training introduced students to olive wood as both a material and a living Palestinian craft tradition.
Students explored the history and cultural significance of olive wood carving before visiting different workshops and observing the production process.
They then developed their own product ideas and worked with craftspeople through the stages of material selection, carving, shaping, sanding, polishing, finishing, and packaging.
The training also introduced students to the relationship between craft and the market, encouraging them to think about product development, presentation, branding, and contemporary applications.
