GLASSBLOWING

The five-week training introduced participants to the fundamentals of glassblowing through a combination of theoretical demonstrations, observation, and hands-on practice. Participants first became familiar with the workspace, tools, raw materials, and overall glassblowing process, before gradually developing the skills required to handle molten glass safely and confidently. Training progressed from gathering and preparing molten glass and practicing controlled movements to actual glassblowing and shaping. Participants learned to produce basic forms such as spheres, bells, and tubes, and later advanced to more complex forms, including a pomegranate-shaped piece. In the final week, participants consolidated the techniques they had acquired, experimented with different shapes and methods, and were given dedicated time to work more independently and produce their own pieces. The training therefore moved progressively from observation and technical preparation toward practical application, experimentation, and individual creative expression.
