BAMBOO

The bamboo training introduced students to the basic properties and possibilities of bamboo as a craft and construction material. Students learned how to cut, split, bend, shape, and join bamboo, beginning with basic basket forms before developing their own ideas.
As their skills developed, participants experimented with new shapes and applications, gradually moving from guided exercises toward more independent making.
One of the training's explorations focused on the traditional 'Arish' structure, allowing students to examine how an established construction technique could inspire new forms and applications.
The training combined traditional knowledge, material experimentation, and contemporary design thinking.
