MOTHER-OF-PEARL
The mother-of-pearl training introduced students to traditional techniques including shell cutting, drilling, filing, polishing, and assembly.
Students began by sketching jewellery designs and transferring their ideas onto shells. They gradually learned to cut, refine, drill, and finish the material.
As their skills developed, students moved from necklaces and earrings to rings, brooches, and bracelets, giving them opportunities to explore different forms of accessory design.
The final sessions focused on independent work, allowing participants to apply the accumulated techniques to their own designs.
