LOOM WEAVING

The training introduced participants to the full loom-weaving process, from preparing raw wool to producing finished pieces. It combined demonstrations with hands-on practice, covering loom setup, wool spinning, basic weaving, and the Sabla pattern technique. Participants gradually progressed from working on an existing loom to assembling and using a new loom, while also experimenting with a smaller loom and developing their own pieces. By the final session, participants had completed a second woven piece and finalized its details.

The experience encouraged students to consider how traditional weaving could inform contemporary fashion, furniture, spatial, and product design.
